How we work

Who we are and what we do

A single point of contact for boat, crew and services, from the first enquiry until you are back in port.

What does Nautica Luxury Corporation do?

We organise crewed charters, on-board services and experiences in the Mediterranean and beyond. We do not own a fleet: we work with a selected network of owners, charter companies and brokers. We choose the boat, crew, route and services with you, and look after everything until the end of your trip.

Can I request a single service, without a charter?

Yes. Every service can also be requested on its own: a private chef on your boat, a helicopter or a private jet, a transfer, an event on board or access to a major event.

Will I receive one proposal or lots of separate quotes?

One single proposal, with the boat and all the services you requested, the costs and what is included. Contract and payments also go through us: you do not have to deal with one supplier at a time.

Who handles changes and the unexpected during the trip?

Your point of contact, before and during the trip. If the weather, a time or a plan changes, they reorganise things with the crew and suppliers. You can reach them on WhatsApp.

How quickly do you reply?

Usually the same day. For specific dates and boats it can sometimes take one or two days, the time needed to check availability with the owners.

Boats

The right boat for your trip

What you find in our boat descriptions and how we get to confirmation.

Is the boat in the proposal the one I will get?

If it is free for your dates, yes. The boats we propose are real boats from our network; if that boat is already booked, we offer you an equivalent one in size, cabins and services. The boat’s name is always written in the proposal and in the contract, before the deposit is paid.

Guests and cabins: how many people can sleep on board?

The number of guests shown is the maximum daytime capacity. For sleeping on board, what counts are the berths in the guest cabins, usually two per cabin. On smaller boats the skipper may use a cabin: the proposal always shows the berths available for your group.

Do I need a boating licence?

No. Our charters come with a professional crew: a captain or skipper and, depending on the boat, a stewardess and chef. You come aboard as a guest.

Catamaran, sailing yacht or motor yacht?

A catamaran offers space, stability and separate cabins: it is the most comfortable choice for families and groups. A sailing yacht gives the most authentic experience. A motor yacht covers more miles in less time and is ideal for day trips and longer passages. If you are not sure, we will choose together.

Can I charter for just a day or a weekend?

Yes, in many destinations we organise day charters and weekends, especially with motor yachts and catamarans. For longer cruises you will find the routes on the Destinations page.

Prices and costs

How much it costs and what is included

We do not publish price lists: every proposal is built around dates, boat and services.

How much does a charter cost?

It depends on four things: the boat, the period, the duration and the services on board. July and August cost more than June and September, and a week costs less than seven separate days. If you give us a budget, we will propose the options that fit it straight away.

What is included in the price?

The proposal lists what is and is not included. The charter price usually covers the boat and crew. Fuel, harbour fees, provisions and on-board expenses are generally extra.

What is the on-board expenses fund?

On larger boats, running costs are covered by a fund paid in advance, called the APA. It covers fuel, harbours, food and drinks. During the trip you can ask for a statement and, at the end of the charter, any unspent amount is refunded.

Why give a budget in the request?

Because it lets us reply straight away with the right options, without wasting your time on boats that do not fit. If you prefer not to give one, we will still send you several price alternatives.

Booking and payments

From proposal to confirmation

How the boat is secured, who you sign with and how payments work.

How do I book?

You write to us with dates, guests and area. We send you a tailor-made proposal and, once you accept it, you sign the contract and pay the deposit. From that moment the boat is reserved for you.

Who do I sign the contract with and who do I pay?

You sign with Nautica Luxury Corporation and make your payments to us: we take care of the owner, crew and suppliers. For the charter we use the MYBA contract or an equivalent one, the industry’s international standard. You will find the general terms on the Terms and conditions page.

How do the deposit and balance work?

The deposit is usually 50% on signing and the balance is paid 30 days before embarkation. If you book less than 30 days before departure, the full amount is paid on confirmation. The exact amounts and deadlines are written in the proposal.

What if I need to cancel or change the dates?

Cancellation and date-change terms depend on the boat and the period, and are set out in the contract you receive before paying the deposit. If you have any doubts, ask us before signing: we will explain them point by point.

How far in advance should I book?

For July and August it is best to book by spring, because the best boats are reserved early. For June and September a few weeks are often enough. For a chef in high season we recommend booking four to six weeks ahead.

On board

Life on board

Small things that make a difference during the trip.

Who cooks on board?

It depends on the formula: with a private chef, meals are prepared by a dedicated chef; on boats with a stewardess, simple cooking can be arranged. The menu and shopping are agreed before departure.

Can the chef handle allergies and intolerances?

Yes. Before departure we collect each guest’s requirements: gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, allergies. The chef takes them into account throughout the menu.

What should I pack?

Soft bags rather than hard suitcases, because space on board is precious. Then swimwear, a sweatshirt for the evening, shoes with light-coloured soles or for use on board only, sunscreen and documents. Sheets and towels are usually already on board.

Is the itinerary fixed?

No. The proposed route is a guide: the captain adapts it to the wind, the sea and your wishes. If one day you want to stay longer in a bay, you can.

Services and events

Beyond the boat

Chefs, flights, transfers and events: on their own or together with a charter.

Can the chef come to my boat?

Yes. The chef joins your boat at the port of your choice, for a weekend, a week or the whole season.

Do you arrange private flights and transfers?

Yes: private jets, helicopters and transfers by land or sea to the boat, hotel or event.

Can I attend a major event with you?

Yes. We organise attendance at major events from the sea, such as the Monaco Grand Prix, and on land, from the Super Bowl to Wimbledon. You will find all events under Major events and the dates sport by sport in the Sports calendar.

Can I organise a party or corporate event on board?

Yes: birthdays, anniversaries, dinners at anchor, events for clients and teams. We take care of set-up, catering, music and photos.

Work with us

For owners and brands

If you have a boat or a brand, there are two dedicated pages.

I have a boat: can you include it in your selection?

Yes, if it is a crewed boat suited to our clients. You will find how it works on the Owners and operators page.

I have a brand: how can I work with you?

We work with selected brands in lifestyle, personal care, food & wine and yachting. You will find everything on the Brand Partners page.
