Chef on Board
Your board follows the course. The rest is the horizon.
An exclusive experience, where every detail has been carefully curated for you, starting with what you’ll serve at the table—every day—out on the open sea.
Signature cuisine that travels with you
There comes a moment on every voyage when the sea calms down and the day calls for a celebration.
A quiet harbor, the light fading, the aroma wafting from the ship’s galley. It is at that moment that having a chef on board ceases to be just a service and becomes the hallmark of your journey.
Nautica Luxury Corporation brings to your yacht—whether it’s a sailboat, motorboat, or catamaran— carefully selected chefs with expertise in Mediterranean and signature cuisine, who are accustomed to the spaces, schedules, and rules of life at sea.
Before departure, the chef works with you to plan the culinary journey for the entire cruise: the local ingredients from the regions you’ll be passing through, the wines that will accompany your meals, and each guest’s dietary restrictions and preferences. Then, day after day, the menu follows the route: the morning’s catch becomes lunch at anchor, the aperitif is served where the sun sets, and dinner is served once the anchor is down and the time is all yours.
Whether you’ve chosen a charter from Nautica Luxury Corporation or are sailing on your own boat, the promise remains the same: no compromises between the board and the sea.
A kitchen for every way of sailing
Every boat has its own spaces, its own balance, and its own rhythm.
Our chefs know them well and turn them into something special.

How do you experience the sea?
Charter a boat with us
The chef is part of your crew from day one: we choose him together when planning your charter, introduce him before boarding, and coordinate the galley, wine cellar, and itinerary under one roof.
Just hop on board—everything else is already in place.
On your boat
Are you yacht owners? The chef will come to your yacht at the port of your choice—for a weekend, a week, or an entire season. A preliminary inspection of the onboard galley allows us to arrive with everything we need, without having to ask you for anything.
How many of you will be at the table?
From a dinner for two in the cockpit to a table for ten guests on the flybridge: the chef tailors the kitchen staff, courses, and service to the number and pace of your guests. From 2 to 5 cabins, from 4 to 10 people—and for onboard events, we’ll work with you to create a customized plan.
When should you write about your experience?
For the peak season—from June to September—we recommend planning your experience four to six weeks in advance: this gives us enough time to book the chef who best suits your style and to curate a wine selection that complements the itinerary.
Whether it’s for a special occasion or an off-season weekend getaway, our team can accommodate even last-minute requests—just let us know.
A menu that doesn't exist yet: yours
There is no set menu. Before departure, the chef will discuss your preferences with you: the cuisines you love, what should not be brought on board, each guest’s food intolerances and dietary restrictions, and the wines and spirits you’d like to find in the wine cellar.
From this dialogue emerges the culinary story of your cruise—Mediterranean by nature, yours by definition.
- First-class galley: ingredients carefully selected from regions along the route, loaded aboard before departure and restocked during port calls.
- A custom wine selection: Italian and French wines, sparkling wines, spirits, and a signature non-alcoholic menu—all chosen together with you.
- Food intolerances and special diets: gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, kosher-style, and any other dietary needs your guests may have—all without compromising on style.
- The catch of the day: when the fishing grounds allow, the harbor market and locally caught fish make their way onto the menu that very evening.

The dinner, created by
The little ones, guests of honor
The chef designs special menus for children—healthy, familiar, and never boring—while taking into account their schedules, habits, and little rituals. And when the older children linger at the table, the onboard staff knows how to take care of the little ones. Because at Nautica Luxury Corporation, nothing is left to chance—no matter your age.
Memorable Evenings
An anniversary in the harbor, a proposal at sunset, a birthday with lifelong friends, an intimate dinner with special guests: when the evening calls for a special touch, the chef creates the experience together with our team—table setting, flowers, a signature cake, and a dedicated photographer upon request.
You choose the moment; we make it unforgettable.

Chef on Board: Your Questions
What does the onboard chef service include?
Planning the menu with you before departure, a first-class galley and a custom wine selection, preparing all agreed-upon meals—from breakfast to dinner—and taking full care of the onboard kitchen.
Upon request: personalized table service, wine pairings from our cellar, and event planning for special occasions.
How are chefs for private yachts selected?
Every chef joins our network after being personally selected by our team: they must have documented experience in Mediterranean and signature cuisine, training in life at sea, have passed trials at sea, and have their food safety and hygiene certifications verified. Only those who pass every step come on board under our name.
Can the chef accommodate food intolerances and special dietary needs?
Yes, it’s part of our menu planning: gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, and other dietary restrictions and special requests are gathered for each guest before their arrival and handled with the same care as the rest of the meal.
Is this service also available on my boat?
Yes. In addition to charters organized by Nautica Luxury Corporation, the chef will come to your boat—whether it’s a sailboat, motorboat, or catamaran—at the port of your choice, for a weekend, a week, or an entire season.
In which destinations is the service available?
Throughout the Mediterranean along our routes: the Aeolian Islands, the Costa Smeralda, and Sardinia; the Amalfi Coast; Liguria, extending to the French Riviera—and, upon request, wherever your itinerary takes you.
How much does it cost to have a chef on board?
Every experience is tailor-made—duration, guests, menu, wine selection—and for this reason, each proposal is exclusive. Tell us about your trip using the form: you’ll receive a personalized proposal, with no obligation.
How far in advance do I need to make a reservation?
During peak season, booking four to six weeks in advance allows us to reserve the most suitable chef for you. During the off-season or for a one-time event, the timeframe may be tighter: please contact us, and we’ll find a solution.
